I’m Lauren. Spreadsheet enthusiast, finance translator, and your go-to person for making sense of the money stuff. I started Lauren’s Ledger Accounting because I know how many small business owners feel lost in a sea of numbers, jargon, and HMRC emails. My goal? To take that stress off your plate and turn confusion into clarity. With me in your corner, you’ll feel more in control, more confident, and a lot less “where do I even start?”

You’re in good hands

I’ve spent years helping businesses feel more in control of their finances. Here’s a little bit about how I got here.

I spent five years working in corporate finance, mainly in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), where I helped businesses understand where their money was going – and how to use it more strategically. I built financial models to forecast everything from hiring new teams to leasing new offices. It was fast-paced and exciting, but something was missing.

I realised I didn’t just want to help big businesses make more money – I wanted to help real people. I'd been following small businesses online for years, cheering them on and buying from them, and it always stuck with me how much they struggled with the financial side. I knew I could help.

That’s why I started bringing my big-business experience to small businesses, making financial strategy feel simple, clear, and doable – because you deserve the same level of support as the big players.

Along the way, I spent three years studying to become CIMA qualified, and also gained my AAT qualification – so you can be sure the advice you’re getting is backed by solid expertise and real-world experience.
